Warning! This pie is for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup lovers only!
This is a rich chocolate and silky peanut butter pie. The crust gives a little crunch for the perfect amount of texture.
This has to be the easiest and tastiest no-bake pie ever.
You start with pre-made Oreo pie crusts; cream a 3 ingredient peanut butter filling & make a quick ganache right in the microwave.
When I made this I used 1 glass measuring cup, a bowl, a hand mixer with beaters, a whisk, and a spatula.
You can double this recipe and make 2 pies in almost the same amount of time!
PEANUT BUTTER CUP NO-BAKE PIE
Yields 1 pie
Appx. 8 servings
Prep time: about 15 minutes
1- pre-made oreo “pie” crusts
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup chocolate chip morsels (I used half a bag of semi-sweet mini’s. If you do not like dark chocolate, use milk chocolate.)
1&1/2 cups Creamy peanut butter (I used peter pan)
2 Tablespoons Creamy peanut butter
1 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) Butter, softened (not melted)
Cream butter and 1&1/2 cups peanut butter in a bowl, slowly add in powdered sugar. Pour into Oreo pie crust. In a microwave safe dish (I use my Pyrex measuring cup), put the heavy cream in the microwave for 1 minute; check for bubbles on top, if there are none, put it in for another 30 seconds and check again, there should be bubbles by now. Quickly hand whisk (a fork will work too) the chocolate chips into the heavy cream, do not stop mixing until all the chocolate is 100% melted. Add 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter to the chocolate and cream mixture. Immediately pour on top of the peanut butter layer and smooth. Set pie dish top on, place in the fridge so the ganache and filling can set up, at least 1 hour.
You can serve cold or at room temp.
