If you are looking for a good chocolate chip cookie recipe that holds up as a giant cookie, you have found it!
I love giant cookies… they are fun and the perfect size.
These are not as big as my JUMBO M&M cookies, but they are still a fun size.
Giant cookies are awesome for parties, gift toppers, bake sales, lemonade stands, & even great for a dessert: pop the cookie in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving with a big scoop of ice cream on top – YUM!
Just like my JUMBO M&M Cookies, these are easy to make and soo good!
These measure about 4.5” in diameter.
Everyone I gifted them to ate them very quick.
Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. (<- Dry ingredients.)
In a separate bowl, or your mixer, cream butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg together. Mix in dry ingredients.
Fold in chocolate chip and optional nuts.
To make giant sized, like mine, use a large scoop like this one here, appx ¼ cup of dough. And bake for appx 18-20 minutes, until edges are golden brown. I rotated my pans 180 degrees half way through the baking time to get a nice even bake. *I did not use my convection setting.
Once they are completely cooled, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and store them in a large freezer zip loc bag for 2 week s at room temperature or freeze for up to 4 months.
