'Tis the Season... to bake cookies.
Every December many families have their own cookie tradition. Most bake and decorate sugar cookies or bake other holiday favorites such as peanut butter blossoms, chocolate chip cookies, or Russian snow balls.
I too celebrate with a cookie tradition... EACH AND EVERY HOLIDAY! I am guilty of finding any reason to bake cookies (wink, wink).
Among many other cookies, I made a new treat; I made some Chocolate Decorated Shortbread Cookies to share this year.
I wish I was the genius to think of this concept entirely but I am not. I stumbled on a very shallow silicone mold that was designed to make chocolate cookie toppers.
I am a sugar cookie enthusiast so when I first saw the kit, I was thinking sugar cookies, but when I got home I decided I wanted to make something different.
Normally I dip my shortbread cookies in tempered chocolate or a dark chocolate cream so the combo is perfect. This kit would allow me to elevate my traditional shortbread cookie and they would be the perfect gift topper this Christmas.
The process is REALLY easy!
